ABOUT US

Coach Paul Ngend idea for having his own futsal academy began in 2011 through a mutual friend of his that introduced him to Vincent Roose. Vincent is a former professional futsal player and wanted to begin a futsal venture in the United States. Coach Paul and Coach Vincent exchanged ideas for beginning a club for over two years. They both shared their visions and agreed upon Coach Paul setting up the futsal club and running the academy, Coach Vincent would help bring in additional Belgian futsal coaches. Their first personal meeting took place in late 2012, when Coach Vincent came to the D.C. for four days, they had exchanged phone calls previously. Two years later, NPC Futsal Club was established and launch in May 2014. Three months later, Coach Vincent brought Walter Bartolotti, and Sascha Filippi with him to D.C for the first time. Both Coach Walter and Sascha have played and coached at the highest level in professional futsal, the Futsal Champions League. During their ten day visit, they held multiple training sessions, clinics and assisted training programs with the academy. In January 2015, Coach Walter and Vincent returned for another ten days to D.C. to work with the academy and educate coaches.

In June 2015, Coach Walter, Vincent and Sascha returned for two weeks. They were the coaches involved with NPC Futsal Club’s first ever futsal summer camp. Coach Sascha stayed in the United States after Coach Walter and Vincent returned to Belgium. He is the current U-16 boys and girls teams and is the head goalkeeper coach. He works directly with Coach Paul to design training sessions to improve all player’s technical and tactical skills. The academy has improved dramatically since its inception. In fact, in January 2016, NPC F.C.’s U-16 boys won the regional tournament and returned from Nationals in Kansas in February, 2016. They didn’t win, but put on a great showing of how futsal is truly played.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At NPC Futsal Club, our coaches have many years of Futsal experience as players and coaches. We are the only few clubs in the area that teaches the real way of playing Futsal in its purest form technically and tactically. We also believe that the most important part of a coach and/or trainer is to provide players with positive experiences that allow them to enjoy themselves while playing. It is essential that players receive the proper training and development from the earliest ages. Our local and international staff teaches skills and the game of futsal through fun activities based on the technical and tactical sides of the game. We believe in providing players with feedback and evaluations to allow them to grow both on and off the court.

WHY FUTSAL

Futsal is a small 5v5 game played indoors. There are no walls, and the ball is much smaller and heavier. Futsal is played all over the world and is the leader in developing players. It is the only indoor game recognized by FIFA. All the best professional players in the world played futsal. Futsal excels at helping players develop their speed of play, technical, tactical, and psychological aspects.
